The Centre for Research in Critical Social Inquiry and Action (RCSIA) at Ryerson is a leader in critical interdisciplinary, reflective research and development of knowledge about the different realities and experiences of communities that are affected by exclusion and marginalization.

The RCSIA is based in the School of Social Work at Ryerson University but open to faculty members across the university and to all forms of critical knowledge production. It is rooted in the strong foundations of practice, teaching and research that characterize the School. Grounded in commitments to equality and anti-oppression, the Centre emulates rigorous forms of research and knowledge development, transformative change practices, activism, dissemination and advocacy.
